NDC Finder Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 29, 2026

NDC Finder is developed by Di Zhang as a drug National Drug Code lookup reference app. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information the app uses

NDC Finder does not require an account and does not ask users to create a profile. The app lets users enter lookup terms such as an NDC, package NDC, brand name, generic name, labeler, or active ingredient.

How lookup terms are processed

Lookup terms are sent over HTTPS to the FDA public drug NDC service only to return matching drug directory records. The app processes lookup terms in memory for the current request and does not store search history on a developer server.

Sharing

Lookup terms are transmitted to the FDA public drug NDC service as part of the app's lookup functionality. NDC Finder does not sell user data, does not include advertising, and does not use lookup terms for marketing or profiling.

Retention and deletion

NDC Finder does not maintain user accounts or developer-hosted user search records. Because the app does not store user data on a developer server, there is no account data for users to request deletion of.

Security

Network requests from the app use HTTPS. Users should avoid entering information that is not needed for an NDC lookup.

Medical disclaimer

NDC Finder is an informational reference tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or verification of product availability. Users should confirm drug information with official labeling and qualified professional judgment.
